Working Memory

Tasks using working memory may require manipulating or monitoring information while resisting distractions or other competing processes. The dorsolateral prefrontal cortex plays a major role in supporting working memory. The term “working memory” has become somewhat of a fad and is sometimes used indiscriminately.
